Pray for Scotland by Ruth Dickson

Revival in Scotland

Dear Friends,
Pray for Scotland by Ruth Dickson.
Scotland has a historic evangelical endeavours to boast about. Let us remember the work of God in past times, and pray for revival. Please communicate this message and share to your friends, family and to all who love Scotland.

“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” -Hebrews 13:7

Scotland has such great heritage of trial and triumph in making the gospel of Jesus Christ known.

The teachings of John Hus, Peter Dubois, William of Occam and Patrick Hamilton who fearlessly preached the gospel of God’s grace, historically, have played their role in bringing people to Christ in Scotland.

We must not forget the work of John Knox, a great spiritual leader, who defied the opposition to bring reformation to the Church in Scotland. John Knox gave his life to revive Christianity to its original and purest form. He fought the good fight of faith.

*Pray for Revival in Scotland. Jesus is the same yesterday as He is today and forever.

*Pray He will raise up the next generation of John Knox’s to preach the good news of Jesus Christ.

*Pray for the new generation of preachers. They will preach with zeal and without compromise.

*Pray for the fire of God to be released: fresh oil and a new wave of the Spirit to be released on every street and household in Scotland. God’s Word never fails!

*Pray for committed believers to win souls for the Kingdom. The harvest is ripe.

*Pray for Men and Women to be raised up in the boldness of spirit that God has already released over Scotland. His Word concerning Scotland has not changed.

God’s Word Will Never Lose Its Power: written by Ruth Dickson

GOD’S WORD WILL NEVER FAIL

Luke wrote with authority when he narrated Angel Gabriel’s words in Luke 1:37. These words were not unfamiliar to biblical scholars of the day, as the Spirit of God had already spoken this in times past: Genesis 18:4; Job 10:13; Job 42:2;Jeremiah 32:27.

God will do what He has already purposed and proposed to do in His heart (Zechariah 8:6). The New Testament writers concurred, reported and affirmed God’s power: Mark 10:27; Luke 18:27.

There are literary parallels of prophecy and angelic proclamations throughout scripture. This pattern of scripture writing is intentional, truly reaffirming God’s Word.

Let us be encouraged, the God who spoke in times past is still speaking today, indeed, He speaks into the future. We can declare with all authority and confidence, “For no word from God will ever fail”- Luke 1:37.

STRADDLING THE FENCE

1 John 2:15

STRADDLING THE FENCE

Do believe in what God has promised? To “straddle the fence” in this context, means that you have no firm position in what you believe.

The way you live your life on this earth is a true reflection of what you believe. Remember, this world is not your home…you are just passing through.

Do Not Love the World

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

HEAVENLY TREASURES

HEAVENLY TREASURES: please read: Matthew 6:19-21

Worldliness is an enemy that must be resisted by prayer. Only God can stop the soul longing, panting and running after the goods of this world.

Where are your affections? Are you so affectionate about this world that you have no affection for Heaven. You must never forget that your end destination is not this world, but Heaven?

This hour, ask the Lord to examine your heart. Where is it? Are you soul tied and entangled with worldliness. Pray with all your heart: “Lord disentangle me”.

Pray that the Lord will disentangle you, so that you can serve Him with all your heart. You cannot serve two masters.

If this message speaks to your heart, kindly share it.

RAHAB BELIEVED🔥

RAHAB BELIEVED‼️

What made Rahab hide The Spies, rather than report them?

The inhabitants of Canaan and surrounding nations were terrified of the Israelites. God magnified Israel in their eyes, through the demonstration of His power.

Rahab pledged her allegiance to the God of Israel by hiding the spies from their pursuers.

Rahab believed. Rahab had FAITH in Yahweh. Only Rahab and her family were saved, while Jericho was consumed.

All who come to Faith in Christ are saved by Grace. They are inheritors of God’s Promise and will not be destroyed.

THE INHERITORS…

There are a remnant among the Jews who will eventually believe in Jesus Christ. The light of the gospel will shine within their hearts and they will receive Christ.

The sand by the sea cannot be counted. God uses this illustration of “sand on the sea” severally to show the numbers of people, both Jew and Gentile, who will be inheritors of what God has promised.

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES

Love Your Enemies.

All ears must be attentive and hearts wide open to the words of Jesus. Each Word that proceeds from the mouth of Jesus is more precious than diamonds, rubies and Gold.

Jesus Christ says, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who despitefully use you (without the expectation of reciprocation on this earth). Your reward in in Heaven.

The love you give your enemies is a demonstration of Christ at work in you. Christ in you, the hope of glory. Be an imitator of Christ today. Love your enemies.
