It was necessary for Christ to give His life.

He was lifted up for the world to see, He paid the price: a Living Sacrifice.

Christ The Mediator Redeemed us.

It was a finished work, freeing sinners, from the power and guilt of sin.

The 2 affects from Christ’s redemptive work are:

1.Justification and forgiveness of sin

2. Deliverance from the enslaving defilement and power of sin.

Christ shed His blood on behalf of many, redeeming them: purchasing them to Himself. You are no longer a slave to your past, but FREE IN CHRIST, a new creation, bought with the precious BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Welcome to the month of October.

Before making your list of requests or regrets, have you thought about thanking God for what He has done already?

Ingratitude is a spirit which can easily creep up into the life of a Christian. Let us remember to enter this month with a heart of thanksgiving. The Lord has done great and mighty things. Let us thank Him for all He is going to do in the future.

Please meditate on Psalm 9:1 #October #BreakingNews #USA #Psalm9:1

A Special Message of Comfort and Hope.

I speak to hundreds of thousands of people displaced by the recent flooding, hurricanes tornados, mud-slides, earthquakes and storms: may the Lord comfort and help you at this critical time of desperate need.

I pray for every displaced city, town and village:

Nigeria, Benue State: Makurdi, Gyado Villa Neighbourhood, Achusa, Idye, Wurukum Market, Genabe, Industrial Layout, Demekpe, Wadata Market, Katungu, behind the Civil Service Commission, Agboughul-Wadata, Okpokwu and Ugbokolo.

Caribbean: Barbuda, St.Martin, St.Barthelemy, Anguilla, Virgin Islands.

Texas South East: Houston, Fort Bend, Brazonia, Galveston and Harris Counties.

South East Asia: India, Bangladesh and Nepal ( Mumbai, Terai, Chimani, New Delhi).

Sierra Leone: Freetown; Regent (mud slide in August)

Mexico (8.1 magnitude Earth Quake)

UK: Cornwall (Flooding inJuly)

Japan: Fukuoka and Oita (Flooding in July)

Storm threatened areas: Puerto Rico and Florida. Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Anguilla, Montserrat, St.Kitts, St. Nevis and the Virgin Islands.

(Apologies for any countries, cities or towns flooded not mentioned or areas threatened with floods missed).

I pray for Divine help, comfort and restoration from above.

Millions of people have been displaced all over the world by these catastrophic events.

These devastations of Biblical proportions have affected over 100,000 people and 24 communities in Benue State Nigeria. Many watched their loved ones float away and drown. Hurricane Irma, a category five hurricane, has affected thousands of lives and threatens Millions of homes across the Caribbean. The Island of Barbuda has been totally demolished. Florida is on high alert, as half a million people flee for their lives, as Hurricane Irma makes its fast approach. Over 41 Million people across South Asia have been affected by floods causing 1,400 deaths over the past few months. Diarrhoea, malaria and dengue fever has afflicted thousands because of the floods. Tropical storm Harvey, in Houston Texas, has forced thousands to flee their homes. 13,000 people were rescued during the storm. According to NASA, the weight of the rainfall in Houston caused the land to physically plummet and sink.

In August, after three days of torrential rainfall, mud-slides buried hundreds alive in Regent, a town on outskirts of Freetown-Sierra Leone, leaving multitudes homeless and some still buried under the mud in their homes. In July, 500,000 people were evacuated in Japan during torrential rains.

Hurricane Irma is on its way to Puerto Rico and Florida, Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Anguilla, Montserrat, St.Kitts, St. Nevis and the Virgin Islands as I write. These places have been served notice that It approaches.

The whole world has been touched by the news of these torrential floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, mudslides and cyclones, earthquake of Apocalyptic proportions. People are suffering, as households and entire communities have either been wiped out or displaced. Many survivors are mourning their loved ones, others are still looking for missing family members, friends and children. Districts have had their crops for the whole year ruined. Malnutrition and disease are on the rise. Emergency services, Community centres and organisations have been overwhelmed and outstretched with the magnitude of the situation.

As the situation around the world worsens, many Christians globally have been praying and crying out to Heaven for Divine intervention, comfort, healing and restoration for survivors. Churches have opened their doors. Believers have liberally given their time and donated their funds and resources for relief efforts.

The end of the Age:

These floods and rumours of floods point to the time and season we are in and Christian’s every where must watch and pray (Luke 22:36). God has promised within His Word that one day, the earth as we know it, will no longer remain. These “fearful sights and great signs from heaven,” are a picture of what is to come (Luke 21:12). Luke 21:26 says, that people will faint from terror and apprehension because of the fearful signs on the earth.

Every Believer in Christ should be diligent in keeping a Spiritual watch. We must remember that Christ will return unexpectedly. People will be distracted and taken over with the cares of this life, worldliness and covetousness, when Christ returns.

Let us never cease to remind ourselves of the day of Judgement (Psalm 1:5), the Lord is coming soon. Let every Believer tell the world about Salvation in Christ, in this day of grace. Let us pray without ceasing, increasing our desire for holiness and godly living. Let us disentangle ourselves from worldliness. Let us remember to constantly pray for others and the nations of this world.

Today, let us pray for those affected by these recent calamities.

🙏Pray that God will bring hope and comfort to the millions of families and communities devastated by these sudden calamities. (Isaiah 40:1, Psalm 23:4, Psalm 27:1, Psalm 119:76, Psalm 9:9, Psalm 46:1).

🙏Pray for God’s mercy and peace on the earth Isaiah 26:3′ John 14:27, John 16:33, Philippines 4:7, Psalm 6, Psalm 51:1).

🙏Pray that God will protect and deliver your nation, neighbour-hood, family members and friends, from any hidden calamities yet to come on earth. (Psalm 61:2, 2Thessalonians 3:3, John 10:10, Psalm 5:11-12).

🙏Pray that Believers all over the world will take the message of God’s love to those who are suffering and hurting at this time. (John 3:16, Deut.7:9, Psalm 86:15, Psalm 136:26, Zephaniah 3:17).

🙏Pray that through you, many may come to faith in Christ. Pray that those distressed by these recent calamities will have hope and restoration, even in midst of their sadness and sorrow. (1John5:5, 1John5:13, 1Tim.4:12, Gal.3:22, Galatians2:20, John1:12).

🙏Pray for revival on the earth, that many will seek to know God and hunger for His Word. (John 3:16, Col.1:9, John 17:3, Galatians 4:8-9, Ephesians 1:17, Ephesians 3:19, Col. 2:2).

Let us thank God for what He has done already through the emergency services and their workers. Let us thank God for the mercy and loving-kindness that He releases upon the earth every morning. It is only by His grace that we live each day on earth. Only God can intervene in calamitous situations of biblical proportions like this. We must not lose hope, but always pray without ceasing.

Zecheriah 4-6An unobscured Light in a dark world.

The Spirit of God does a special work in ensuring the light of the Church burns brightly. Like a city set on a hill, it is visible everywhere. A city on an elevated height is prominent. It can be seen from the highest mountain, even the deepest valley.

As a governor, Zerubbabel had the responsibility of rebuilding the temple. It was a daunting task. “Unless the Lord builds a house, the builders labour in vain.” (Psalm 127:1). Zerubbabel would finish the rebuilding of the temple, however, not by human hands.

This is a beautiful illustration for the Church today:

The Church is a witness to the world. Though it faces many challenges and obstructions, it shall prevail, the enemy shall not succeed against it. It shall overcome, not in its own strength, but by the Spirit of the Lord.

The oil that fuels the Church is the Holy Spirit. It is a blazing torch, shining ever brightly, despite the caliginous clouds. Why not join millions of believers world-wide in praying for the Church. God has already made the crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2).

Brand NEW!

7A supernatural heart transplant.

What is impossible with man, is possible God.

A natural heart transplant is a process where a diseased heart is replaced with a healthy heart from an organ donor. Before a donors heart can be removed, the donor must be declared brain dead by two or more doctors, separately.

When God gives a new heart, he does not take it from a dead person. He reproduces it by |His own hands. He doesn’t attempt to fix the old one either, He gives what is brand new.

By God’s grace, the book of Ezekiel showed the  Israelites would be delivered from their idolatry by the divine hand of God. He is able to use the natural things in this world to mold and shape us into what He wants us to be. There were those of the house of Israel, held in captivity by the Babylonians. Though they did not have a physical temple to worship in, God made himself a sanctuary to them. Where in times past, they would see the glory and power of God in the sanctuary, now they would see the demonstration of glory and power with His presence. His grace would be in their hearts. He would remove the divided heart, committed to many gods and give them one heart. He would give them a heart totally surrendered and abandoned to Him.

They will be my people, and I will be their God.” Jer.32:38

A divided heart is not pleasing to God. Just like He did with Israel, He is able to use situations and circumstances to circumcise our hearts. Idolatry, in all its forms, is what divides the human heart from God. God hates all forms of idolatry.

God is able to give a brand new heart in place of the old one. He has done it in the past and He can do it now. God can bring new circumstances to create new life. Pray for that situation that needs a new start. God does not carve out the what is bad in the old heart, He gives a completely new one. A new heart, a new start, a new life, a new spirit!

Good & Perfect ( PART I)

James 117

The author of every-thing good desires believers to receive spiritual gifts and graces. These good gifts are clearly distinguished from bad gifts. God has given us light through His son Jesus Christ, this is a gift from God. Those whose eyes are blinded to the gospel remain in darkness and have not received a good gift (2 Cor. 4:4). Those who walk in disobedience, according to the prince of the power of the air, have not receive the gift of the Spirit. God is the author of saving Grace, He bestows it on whoever He chooses. The work or regeneration: a new nature a new birth, a new start, a new heart (Ezekiel 36:26-27) is a work of Grace from no other source but Almighty God.

Every perfect gift:
Without the new spiritual birth, we are spiritually dead. The progression in the spiritual life of a person and eternal life itself is a gift from God. (Romans 6:23). Every stage in the Christian walk, from the first grace to glory, are by gift, and the free mercy of God.

From above:
James 1:17 says our blessings come from above. The same phrase is used in John 3:21. There is a special reason why our blessings come from above. These blessings were created and designed uniquely for us in Heaven. These blessings are to be perfectly enjoyed (Ephesians 1:3). We are blessed with spiritual blessings in Heavenly places. The source of every Heavenly blessing we see on earth is Heaven itself…
To be continued in part II.

A New Life (Part 4)

Poster 1-6 104The New Birth is brought about in the soul by the Spirit of God. Through Christ’s electing love and redeeming grace, a person in Christ (not a religion or Church) becomes new.

“It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.” Galatians 6:15 This new creation is a work of God: a new nature, a new man. (Eph. 2:810, Col.3:10).

Old things have passed away:
The old nature, the old way of life, legalism: which loves and serves the flesh, (John 3:5, 6; 1:12, 13) passes away. Self – righteousness, worldliness and worldly friends, the old desire for worldly recognition, covetousness, human philosophies, thinking and concepts are “old things passed away.”

The new: a new life
The new man thinks and acts from new principles, new rules, with new goals and objectives. The new man has a new relationship with God. The new man is born again with a new life and a new song. He or she is born into a new love, a new relationship: new devotion and praise to God. The blood of Jesus makes all things new. It has redeeming power.

The new life does not need anything from the old life. His grace is sufficient. The blood of Jesus makes the way for a new life, a new heavens and new earth.

Indeed, He makes all things new – Revelation 21:5
