Pray for Scotland by Ruth Dickson

Revival in Scotland

Dear Friends,
Pray for Scotland by Ruth Dickson.
Scotland has a historic evangelical endeavours to boast about. Let us remember the work of God in past times, and pray for revival. Please communicate this message and share to your friends, family and to all who love Scotland.

“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” -Hebrews 13:7

Scotland has such great heritage of trial and triumph in making the gospel of Jesus Christ known.

The teachings of John Hus, Peter Dubois, William of Occam and Patrick Hamilton who fearlessly preached the gospel of God’s grace, historically, have played their role in bringing people to Christ in Scotland.

We must not forget the work of John Knox, a great spiritual leader, who defied the opposition to bring reformation to the Church in Scotland. John Knox gave his life to revive Christianity to its original and purest form. He fought the good fight of faith.

*Pray for Revival in Scotland. Jesus is the same yesterday as He is today and forever.

*Pray He will raise up the next generation of John Knox’s to preach the good news of Jesus Christ.

*Pray for the new generation of preachers. They will preach with zeal and without compromise.

*Pray for the fire of God to be released: fresh oil and a new wave of the Spirit to be released on every street and household in Scotland. God’s Word never fails!

*Pray for committed believers to win souls for the Kingdom. The harvest is ripe.

*Pray for Men and Women to be raised up in the boldness of spirit that God has already released over Scotland. His Word concerning Scotland has not changed.

Let go of Pagan Ways by Ruth Dickson

Peter desired his disciples to place their trust and hope, not in temporal futile things, but in Jesus: the spotless Lamb. The Redeemer. . .

What a Price Christ paid:

What silver and gold could never ever do, Christ did. Think about the sacrifice Christ made. Think of the penalty He paid.

By the influence of Christ’s teachings, you can forsake the past, and embrace a new way of living.

An appeasement made on your behalf…

Righteous Advocate, Propitiation for our sins.

In His mercy and Grace, God provided a way out, a way of Salvation for a world He created. According to His plan and purpose, He had to redeem a people He loved, but they were separated from Him by Sin.

We have a High Priest, Christ our Saviour, who continually intercedes for us. Even when we make mistakes, according to God’s Faithfulness, He forgives us of our sins. Christ our Righteous Advocate, makes Propitiation, appeasing God’s wrath and anger, on our behalf.

The Ultimate Sacrifice, Christ the Son of God, still speaks for us today. This is how the Father has demonstrated His love to guilty sinners. All those who believe in Christ, will live and reign with Him, eternally. Hallelujah.

A Glorious Kingdom written by Ruth Dickson

A Glorious Kingdom in Heaven

Colossians 3:1 urges us to “… Seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.”
He sits in a high and lofty place and all things are under His feet. Christ controls the Universe.

If you are son or daughter of God, look forward to what God has prepared. God  says we should set our “minds on things that are above, not on things that are on this earth.”

God Judges the Earth:

This earth is under His feet. Christ sits in a high and lofty place. He sits on a Royal throne in a Royal Kingdom.
He is a judge and in control of this earth. God says, the Lord will”Shatter Kings on the day of his wrath. He will execute judgement among the nations, filling them with corpses; He will shatter chiefs over the wide earth.” Psalm 110:5-7

Hidden in Christ:

Isn’t it comforting to know that you are hidden in Christ. He is the One who judges this earth? He says, that you are hidden in the shadow of His hand. CHRIST makes petitions at the right hand of God, day and night, on your behalf. God’s right hand is a symbol of His power and might.

The eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love, that He may deliver their soul from death

and keep them alive in famine (Psalm 33:18-20) Amen.

Watching and Waiting written by Ruth Dickson

Have faith while you watch.

Watching and Waiting
While we are in this earthly building, we watch and wait, patiently, for the Heavenly Building. A better place than temporary earth.

There is a greater hope and expectation in the minds and hearts of God’s people.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. It will be worth it in the end. You have not waited in vain.

Walk by faith and not by sight,

The Covenant of Grace written by Ruth Dickson

The Covenant of Grace

“Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” said the Jailer.

“Become a believer in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and your household also,” responded Paul and Silas.

It was the hour of Grace for the Jailer, as God’s hands of mercy were opened wide to receive Him.

It is simple to believe in Jesus.
The Jailer was not asked to jump through hoops. He only had to believe Jesus Christ and Salvation was assured for him and His family.

God’s promises are assured. The Good News, the Gospel of Salvation is open for you and your entire household. Repent, give your life to Jesus, turn away from Sin. Invite your family to do the same. The door has been opened.

Do you recognise Christ? Written by Ruth Dickson.

Do you Recognise Christ?

Before Jesus Christ came to earth, many Prophets spoke about Him. The Prophet Isaiah spoke about the birth of a ruler who would be the Prince of Peace.

Zechariah spoke in glorious terms of a coming King who would ride triumphantly into Israel. Many who read the scriptures and listened to the Prophets believed every account of this coming Messianic King.

Generations of people died in expectation of this Promise. Many died in faith, without seeing its fulfilment.

Jesus riding triumphantly into Jerusalem on a Donkey was the fulfilment of Prophecy. Multitudes swarmed around Jesus, waving branches of Palm trees with shouts of Hosanah. ( John 12:1-15). Among the crowds, were those who genuinely believed and others who just got excited, but did not truly believe. Even the disciples did not believe at first, until they remembered the things written about Christ in the scriptures (John 12:16). Jesus wept over the condition of their hearts. They did not recognise Him. Among those who rejoiced with Jesus and called Him King would be those who would later assemble to betray Him.

How many people read the scriptures, listen to sermons and display the external signs of being a follower of Jesus, but do not know Christ? They have no genuine faith in their hearts. They mingle with other Christians, however, with a heart of total unbelief.

Christ is coming again, just like the Bible has promised. Do you believe this? Do you have faith in Him? Christ is the King of the heart who truly examines the condition of it.

When Christ returns may He find lamps ablaze with hearts ready, expectantly waiting for Him ( Matthew 25:1-13) Amen.

Stand Firm and see the Salvation of the Lord. Written by Ruth Dickson.

Stand Firm and see the Salvation of the Lord.

Just like Judah and Jerusalem at the time of war, God is calling His people to – have faith – in Him.

These are challenging times, where Christians are facing battles on many fronts. The multitude of voices, in these times of uncertainty, is a battle in itself. Whose report will you believe? A house divided against itself will not stand. Stand firm. Trust in the Living God.

In the midst of a thousand voices, there is one voice that speaks the truth. It is the voice of the Living God.

“Have faith in Yahweh your God and you will be secure; have faith in His prophets and you will be successful.” 2 Chronicles 20:20

The battle is not yours, but God’s. Do not be afraid. Trust in the Living God.

Deeply Rooted Written by Ruth Dickson

Deeply Rooted in Christ

Without pruning, an entangled vine will not be able to produce much Fruit.

Pruning

Pruning is an arduous task. It takes weeding, pulling, and removing those things that stop growth in the branches of the Vine. An overcrowded Vine will be robbed of  the sunshine it desperately needs to grow.

Though pruning is painful, God prunes what is necessary to enable growth.  God is able to  prune away the elements of your  life that are wasteful.

United With Christ
Christ is the True Vine and the children of God are the Living Branches. A living branch will grow and be fruitful when in constant union with Christ. The Holy  Spirit disentangles from worldliness and carnal living,  enabling the growth of much Fruit.

But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit” (1 Cor. 6:17).

Divine Fruit
As the day of the Lord swiftly approaches,  pray to be a bearer of  Divine Fruit. Ask God for strength  in the areas of spiritual weakness. God’s love superceeds every weakness. It is God’s desire that you bring glory to His name.
