In the Face of Righteousness by Ruth Dickson

The Spirit of the Lord is the revealer Truth. He changes hearts, changes ideologies, changes mindsets, in opposition to His mindset, enabling them to conform to HIS.

Concepts, ideas and ideologies soaked and dripping in idolatry and worldliness are demolished and become rubble, in the face of God’s righteousness

Pray for Scotland by Ruth Dickson

Revival in Scotland

Dear Friends,
Pray for Scotland by Ruth Dickson.
Scotland has a historic evangelical endeavours to boast about. Let us remember the work of God in past times, and pray for revival. Please communicate this message and share to your friends, family and to all who love Scotland.

“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” -Hebrews 13:7

Scotland has such great heritage of trial and triumph in making the gospel of Jesus Christ known.

The teachings of John Hus, Peter Dubois, William of Occam and Patrick Hamilton who fearlessly preached the gospel of God’s grace, historically, have played their role in bringing people to Christ in Scotland.

We must not forget the work of John Knox, a great spiritual leader, who defied the opposition to bring reformation to the Church in Scotland. John Knox gave his life to revive Christianity to its original and purest form. He fought the good fight of faith.

*Pray for Revival in Scotland. Jesus is the same yesterday as He is today and forever.

*Pray He will raise up the next generation of John Knox’s to preach the good news of Jesus Christ.

*Pray for the new generation of preachers. They will preach with zeal and without compromise.

*Pray for the fire of God to be released: fresh oil and a new wave of the Spirit to be released on every street and household in Scotland. God’s Word never fails!

*Pray for committed believers to win souls for the Kingdom. The harvest is ripe.

*Pray for Men and Women to be raised up in the boldness of spirit that God has already released over Scotland. His Word concerning Scotland has not changed.

God’s Pillar of Grace by Ruth Dickson

God’s Pillar of Grace:

The Bible gives us every reassurance of God’s faithfulness. As God’s people travelled through Wilderness and Desert lands, His Spirit never left them.

In your wilderness, be comforted, the Lord is with you. God’s Pillar of Grace goes before you. In the valley, you are not alone. On the mountain top, the Lord is with you. In the crooked places, He is the light that shines, and breaks through, leading to a straight path. The Lord makes those rough and hard places smooth. He is the Way Maker.

The Lord will see you through your wilderness and desert place, leading you every step of the way. Be comforted with God’s presence along the way. God will never leave or forsake you. He will order your steps by His Word. Amen.

The Warrior King by Ruth Dickson

  • The Warrior King

  • His return shall be like that of a Warrior.

Leaving His majestic robe in Heaven, the Son of God came to this sinful earth. Though He was very God, He humbled Himself.

He was a King, but He lived as a suffering servant. He walked on earth as a persecuted man with no honour.

Isaiah prophesied about Him. He used strong metaphors to describe Jesus as a tender green shoot; like a root in dry ground, with nothing beautiful or majestic about His appearance; nothing to attract us to him (Isaiah 53:2).

Jesus suffered the greatest tyranny and opposition from the people who should have hailed Him as King. His Humility masked His glory. He boasted in nothing, except His Father in Heaven. He displayed no earthly splendour or wealth.

Jesus Christ’s meekness was taken for weakness. His lowliness masked the mindfulness of His call and wilfulness of His Mission. He came to earth as Redeemer, the Saviour of the soul, the sacrificial Lamb of God.

Though Jesus wore no physical robe, He wore a spiritual one, which the spiritually blind failed to see. Only those spiritually intimate with God recognised Him through the Torah. It was the wise men, the shepherds, the meek, like Anna and Simeon, who lived in great expectation of the Messiah.

    His Second Coming:

Jesus Christ is coming as a Bridegroom to receive a Bride expectantly waiting for Him. No longer will He come as a suffering servant, but as a Warrior King. All eyes shall see Him. The hearts of His enemies shall melt in the fear of Him.

Those who wait in great expectation of this day, live to rejoice. They pray daily, “make straight the way of the Lord.” They are mindful of His return and prepare.

No Strangers will be Admitted to the Wedding Feast:

Jesus Christ is coming back for a Bride that He knows! It is a Bride He has spoken for, a Bride who lives under His influence, a Bride kept by His divine power.

May you be found, prepared and waiting, at His sudden return.

    Preparedness by Ruth Dickson

    Be Prepared

    PREPAREDNESS

    Matthew 25:1-13

It is not a coincidence that the Bible uses “Oil” as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.  Without Oil, a machine cannot function; in other words, a car cannot run on empty gas.

How many of us run on empty and expect to be filled up – whenever we have need – from the brother or sister who is connected with the Holy Spirit. This is what happened in the story of the Ten Virgins ( Mat.25:1-13). It is not that all the Ten Virgins were not tired… Scripture says that, “As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept.” Both the wise and foolish Virgins were in the same position, tired, fed up and weary, however the wise virgins did not have their vision of Christ  obscured.

What is it that obscures your vision of Christ? What is it that makes one spiritually dead?

When we are not connected to the Spirit of God, but connected to buying, selling, social gatherings; including gatherings on social media, seeking pleasure (in all it forms), it shows ones heart and soul is entangled.  We walk in unbelief if we are not expecting the return of our Saviour, no matter how tired we are!

Are you waiting for the Lord to  return until you have Faith in God? By then it will be far too late ( v.8 -11). You do not know the day or hour of the Lord’s return, so you must be spiritually tuned in to the Spirit of God.

Heaven is open to all who “truly” believe in Christ, but shut against those who walk in doubt, fear and unbelief.  Those who believe the Word of God know for SURE what they have believed.

Death and Life by Ruth Dickson

A Picture of Death and Life.

Multitudes assembled from both near and far to listen to the message John the Baptist preached. Within the gatherings of the multitudes, were those who believed John the Baptist’s message. They desired a change of heart. Yet, there were others; Pharisees and Saducees, with hardened hearts. John the Baptist described them as a “Brood of Vipers”. These religious leaders were confident and self-absorbed with ceremonial and external performances. They presumed they had no need of repentance and preparation because of their father, Abraham. In their hearts and minds they were deceived; believing they were above the law; faultless and sinless. In trying to keep up with outward obedience to rules and regulations, they missed the inward change of heart that God desired.

Today in the Church, Repentance; a change of heart; to turn away from sin, is a much hated word.

    The Forerunner:

John the Baptist can be described as one who knew his purpose and call. He emerged from the deserts of the wilderness to bring about change. He pointed to Christ. Like a bridge, he lay himself down between the Old Testament and the New. Jesus walked across this bridge, into prepared hearts, ready to receive Him.

    John Prepared the Way:

John the Baptist, “Prepared the way of the Lord.” As prophesied by Malachi, he would come in the Spirit of Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6). John spoke boldly, challenging people’s hearts, minds and way of living, calling them to repent for the forgiveness of sins.

    A Symbol of Cleansing:

Water cleanses, washes, it purifies. The work of Baptism involves immersion. It also involves the coming up, emerging, from that place of immersion. Baptism symbolises the old being washed away and emergence of the new. It mirrors the death of the old man and the emergence of the new man.

    A New Creation in Christ:

God is calling His children to come out of their old ways and embrace the new. Just like in the days of old, God is raising up voices to speak boldly, without fear. God used Noah to “Prepare” the Ark, but the people would not listen. God used John the Baptist to “Prepare the Way” and many believed, repented and turned away from their old ways, while others did not. The voice of John the Baptist is being echoed by the servants of God today 🗣 Christ is coming soon!

    The Winnowing Fan:

By the power of the Holy Spirit, God is calling His people to turn away from their sinful ways. Christ is coming again. Like a winnowing fan, He will separate the Chaff from the Wheat. He will separate Goats from Sheep.

    Are You “Prepared” Brethren?

Christ is knocking at the Door, the gates are open. Through Christ’s Death and Resurrection, He has given New Life.

Anyone in Christ is a new creation. The Old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17). Christ has prepared the WAY. Christ is the Highway of Holiness, prepared for those who walk in the WAY. (Isaiah 35:8, Romans 6:22).

Make Straight The Way of The Lord:

Christ has removed every stumbling block. He has demolished every obstacle by filling up the valleys, pulling down the high places, making the crooked places straight and removing the stones to make those rough, hard places smooth.. Abide in God’s presence. Prepare by faith. The Lord is coming soon.

The Unmissable Fragrance of the Lily of the Valleys by Ruth Dickson

    Christ the Lily of Valleys

The Lily grows in the most unexpected places. It can be found in dark places. In the depth of the Valley is where this delicate flower flourishes. It is a flower amongst flowers, as its fragrance permeates any environment it is found. It is a flower of purity, found in the most rough and inhospitable terrains.

Christ is the Lily of Valleys. He is the brightness of this dark world. Found in the deepest of Valleys, He brings beauty and warmth, to ugly and cold places. The fragrance of Christ’s presence is delightful. It touches the untouchable, giving them an unmissable divine and heavenly aroma.

    The Glory of God.

In the face of Christ, is the glory of God. His power, reaches the depths of the earth. Christ gathers those on the fringes of society: the poor, the weak, widow, the fatherless, the meek, the weary, the lonely, the downcast. There is no one God’s Spirit cannot reach.

Anyone who trusts in Christ will never be put to shame. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
