Mission Accomplished written by Ruth Dickson

Ephesians Posts-03Mission Accomplished

Christ has done every thing necessary to accomplish victory in this battle God’s people are fighting.  He gave himself up as the sacrificial lamb, paying that penalty for sin,  redeeming His people  from destruction.

With this in mind, you should not retreat or surrender  to the enemy. Put on the full armour God has given you. It is bullet proof. Walk in righteousness and holiness. The faithfulness of God is a shield and buckler – Psalm 91:4.

Be confident that God sits far above powers, principalities:

‘Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come’ – Ephesians 1:21

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” – Matthew 28:18

AN ESSENTIAL SACRIFICE

AN ESSENTIAL SACRIFICE 🔥

It was necessary for Christ to give His life.

He was lifted up for the world to see, He paid the price: a Living Sacrifice.

REDEMPTION

Christ The Mediator Redeemed us.

It was a finished work, freeing sinners, from the power and guilt of sin.

IT WAS EFFECTIVE

The 2 affects from Christ’s redemptive work are:

1.Justification and forgiveness of sin

2. Deliverance from the enslaving defilement and power of sin.

Christ shed His blood on behalf of many, redeeming them: purchasing them to Himself. You are no longer a slave to your past, but FREE IN CHRIST, a new creation, bought with the precious BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

HAVE A BLESSED GOOD FRIDAY.

The Protector

THE PROTECTOR

“O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge, save me from my pursuers and deliver me…” Psalm 7:1

The Lord is mighty in battle and able to deliver all who place their trust in Him. Israel was faced with an impossible situation when God parted the Red Sea. They faced a raging storm, God parted it and they passed through on dry land. However, Pharaoh and His Chariots, met with God’s wrath. They were buried under the sea.

The Lord is a mighty warrior. You can trust Him in every battle. He calms the raging storm, placing you in the place of safety. Keep your eyes on the Cross.

A Powerful Deliverance

A Powerful Deliverance

David and Israel, time and time again, in overwhelming situations, had seen the demonstration of God’s power. God’s Word holds the records of His mighty acts.

Reference is made to these acts in this scripture when David talks about being swallowed alive. God has the power to command the earth to open and swallow up His enemies. (Numbers 16:30).

Israel still stands today by the power of God’s hand and so does His Church. Who will prevail against the mighty hand of God?

Be Strong and Courageous

Be strong and courageous.

If you look at yourself to accomplish what God has purposed, you will see insecurities and and inadequacies. Joshua had to look outside of himself for strength and courage.

Have I not commanded thee?

You must have faith to receive the promises of God. Faith and obedience walk hand in hand. The daily tests and circumstances you meet will test your faith.

I pray today that you will be strong and of good courage. I pray that you will not be afraid, neither dismayed. I pray the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Amen.

The Lord Cares for You

The Lord Cares for You

The book of Isaiah gives us understanding of Christ’s nature, His Mission and His relationship with His Church. Isaiah gave so many prophecies about the coming Messiah.

The Lord would be the strength of Judah, the One who cares, a fortified tower that the righteous run to and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).

Those who wait upon the Lord will never be put to shame. They shall rely on the Lord for their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles, having their faith renewed daily. The Lord shall deliver them from the hands of their enemies. They shall learn to be patient and wait on God in trials. They shall not grow weary or tired as they look to God.

You reflect God’s Image and Gloryi

You represent God’s Love.

God so loved this world, so much so that He gave His only begotten Son to it. He did not leave this world in its sinful condition without help;without a way out. He redeemed the situation, in a pure act of His unfailing Love.

Understanding God’s nature, His mind, His eternal and unchangeable attributes will help you understand God’s Love…though you may never fully understand it.

God’s Word shows us His mind and His love towards us. But not only that…it transforms our way of thinking. It unites us with God’s mind, It completely transforms the life of the Believer.

The day and hour unknown.

The Day and Hour Unknown Matthew 24

36“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,f but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

FEAR NOT

Isaiah 41-10 _Classic 38

The Lord has promised to be with you always, so you are not to be afraid according Isaiah 41:10. Do not be dismayed, let your heart be strengthened. The enemy shall not prevail against you because God’s power is tremendously stronger. God is all powerful and wiser than any strategy or stratagems of the enemy.

God’s power works best when you are weak. God will strengthen you. You need can depend on God’s strength. God will help you. The Ancient of Days parted the Red Sea and He still performs miraculous wonders today. When you trip over, He will prevent you from falling down, He will bear you up. Even if you do fall or fail, His grace will pick you up again.

The right hand of the Lord is a symbol of His strength. To uphold means to standby, vindicate, assist, back, confirm and defend. Do not worry, the Lord is on your side. He will hold both your hands with His mighty hands and lead you out in His righteousness. Amen

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS

joshua1_9God’s commands require Faith
Where did Joshua get the unction and zeal to lead the children of Israel? His boldness and courage came directly from God. Again and again, The Lord encouraged Joshua, “Be strong and courageous.”

Joshua was totally dependent on God. He needed this encouragement daily. He did many great things, including toppling Jericho, to get to the promised land, Canaan.

Trust in God
It seemed ludicrous that the walls of Jericho would fall down by marching round them several times. But these were the instructions God gave. Joshua made sure they were followed. He desires “truth in the inward parts”(Psalm 51:6).

We must follow God’s instructions to be successful in any battle, regardless of how ridiculous the instructions seem.

The good fight of Faith
You must fight for what you believe in by living in obedience to God’s Word. Christ has given us the power and grace to submit ourselves to the authority of His Word.

Difficulties and dangers
Why does God say, “do not be afraid or dismayed”? Because He doesn’t expect you to face these battles on your own. God is in the, “fight to the end.” The battle belongs The Lord.

Anyone who believes in Christ will face many challenges and struggles through out their life time. It is a badge that every believer must wear. The assured thing is that Christ will be present through it all. Learn to trust in Jesus. He will never fail you or abandon you (Deut.31:6).

Therefore, be strong in The Lord and the power of His Might (Eph.6:10). Endure till the end (Matt.24:18). Fight the good fight of Faith (1Tim.6:12).
