Do you recognise Christ? Written by Ruth Dickson.

Do you Recognise Christ?

Before Jesus Christ came to earth, many Prophets spoke about Him. The Prophet Isaiah spoke about the birth of a ruler who would be the Prince of Peace.

Zechariah spoke in glorious terms of a coming King who would ride triumphantly into Israel. Many who read the scriptures and listened to the Prophets believed every account of this coming Messianic King.

Generations of people died in expectation of this Promise. Many died in faith, without seeing its fulfilment.

Jesus riding triumphantly into Jerusalem on a Donkey was the fulfilment of Prophecy. Multitudes swarmed around Jesus, waving branches of Palm trees with shouts of Hosanah. ( John 12:1-15). Among the crowds, were those who genuinely believed and others who just got excited, but did not truly believe. Even the disciples did not believe at first, until they remembered the things written about Christ in the scriptures (John 12:16). Jesus wept over the condition of their hearts. They did not recognise Him. Among those who rejoiced with Jesus and called Him King would be those who would later assemble to betray Him.

How many people read the scriptures, listen to sermons and display the external signs of being a follower of Jesus, but do not know Christ? They have no genuine faith in their hearts. They mingle with other Christians, however, with a heart of total unbelief.

Christ is coming again, just like the Bible has promised. Do you believe this? Do you have faith in Him? Christ is the King of the heart who truly examines the condition of it.

When Christ returns may He find lamps ablaze with hearts ready, expectantly waiting for Him ( Matthew 25:1-13) Amen.

Stand Firm and see the Salvation of the Lord. Written by Ruth Dickson.

Stand Firm and see the Salvation of the Lord.

Just like Judah and Jerusalem at the time of war, God is calling His people to – have faith – in Him.

These are challenging times, where Christians are facing battles on many fronts. The multitude of voices, in these times of uncertainty, is a battle in itself. Whose report will you believe? A house divided against itself will not stand. Stand firm. Trust in the Living God.

In the midst of a thousand voices, there is one voice that speaks the truth. It is the voice of the Living God.

“Have faith in Yahweh your God and you will be secure; have faith in His prophets and you will be successful.” 2 Chronicles 20:20

The battle is not yours, but God’s. Do not be afraid. Trust in the Living God.

BE DESPERATE THIS FEBRUARY written by Ruth Dickson

Are you desperate about God? The word “desperate” means to be bold; dangerous; daring; determined. How bold are you about God? How dangerous is your prayer life? How daring are your plans to seek God this month? How determined are you to see God’s Kingdom established?

To be totally Devoted.

If you are entirely devoted to something, you will prosper in it. Are you devoted towards spiritual matters? What is the condition of your soul?

Your desire to, “seek God’s Kingdom first,” will come from your relationship with the Father. When God’s Word permeates every aspect of your life, serving Him will become your priority.

To know God, desire His will, to glorify Him forever. Let this be your utmost desire. Pursue righteousness. Let the name of Jesus be honoured and glorified in your life.

Do not be “anxious” about this world and its earthly concerns. Have no anxiety about it. Are you not aware that God knows what your needs are? There is a clear distinction between a need and a want. God will never support those “wants” that will destroy you or take you away from Him. He has promised to supply all your “needs” ( Philippians 4:19) according to His riches in glory. God does not base His promises upon falsehood.

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you this February to The New Man Conference taking place in London. Registration Essential.

It shall be a great time of rest, soaking in God’s Word and feasting at God’s table. Please see the details within this write up. Be desperate for God this month.

The Tested Rock

The “Rock of Ages” has proven through the ages that He is reliable; faithful and unchanging. He is that tried and tested Rock, upon which those in Christ build their lives.

1 John 2:15

Do believe in what God has promised? To “straddle the fence” in this context, means that you have no firm position in what you believe.

The way you live your life on this earth is a true reflection of what you believe. Remember, this world is not your home…you are just passing through.

Do Not Love the World

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”

🎤Let me ask you a question?

Can you put a price on the value of your soul?

Can you measure the value of one drop of Christ’s blood?

Was Christ’s humiliation worth it?

Christ was bruised and God counted Him worthy to pay the cost. Christ’s wounds were of great value in the sight of God, it was a well pleasing sacrifice.

The shed blood of Jesus Christ is invaluable, it is such that a price cannot be placed on it.

Gold and silver depreciate in value, but the price paid for the The Atonement of sin is everlasting. You cannot attempt to pay Christ for the debt He paid. Good works or the highest amount of money, cannot repay it.

Can you Atone your own sin?

No amount of silver and gold can reconcile you to God. No amount of silver and gold can purchase your peace.

Happy Easter Sunday.

“He will not fail nor be discouraged,

Till He has established justice in the earth;

And the coastlands shall wait for His law.” – Isaiah 42:4

Your present sufferings are temporary and nothing compared to the eternal glory to come. You shall rejoice with the fullness of Joy. Christ has triumphed! Christ is victorious!

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ went through trials, tribulations and persecutions on this earth.

In His darkest hours He cried out to God His Light, Salvation and Deliverer.

In your darkest hour, the Lord is your Light. He shows you the way out and leads you home.

The Lord is your Salvation, He has rescued your soul.

The Lord is your Stronghold, the Strong-tower you run into, in times of trouble.

Very recently, I travelled to a prayer centre, it is a place I go to rejuvenate and dedicate my time to spiritual matters. This centre has a prayer room dedicated to each continent.

The Africa Room

The “Africa Room” has the best allocated room and position in the prayer centre building, it is set apart, almost like a maisonette, with its own exclusive entrance. The Africa room is positioned nearest to the library and coffee room within the centre.

However, on going into the Africa prayer room, I felt very uncomfortable, as I looked at the heavily stained carpet and walls where people had been praying, leaving their finger prints and marks on the four walls. The room felt dark, dirty and cold.

As I started to pray in the room, I felt the Spirit asking me to move to another room, on the opposite side of the building. The entrance to this side of the building opened to a cluster of other prayer rooms, unlike the side of the building that exclusively hosted the Africa prayer room.

The prayer rooms in this side of the building also had their own names: Europe, South America, Asia, Australia and North America prayer rooms.

I opened the door to the South America room and I immediately felt the warmth, inviting me to fellowship, and spend time with God in prayer.

The first thing I noticed in this room was an open bible, placed by the only window in the centre of the room. I felt it was a room where a lot of intimate prayer had taken place, a place where people spent quality time in God’s presence.

As I settled down to pray, I asked the Lord why I felt so uncomfortable in the Africa prayer room and why I had to move. The Lord spoke so clearly to me and I had to immediately write down what you are reading now.

He said to me the Africa room is a picture of Africa. A continent stripped of it glory and beauty, plundered and only used for what can be taken out of it.

He showed me Africa as the most beautiful continent on earth, with the most resources. He showed me the overwhelming abundance of the produce of the earth, rich jewels, minerals and everything good He planted in Africa. He told me He had given Africa His best, but it was a continent abused, used and stripped of its glory…specifically a place used for what people can get from it. A placed used for what people can take, with nothing being put back into to it to replenish it.

He showed me the nations of the world using Africa for what they can get, stripping it of all its resources and putting nothing back in.

I then thought about how people treat God. Never spending time with Him, never having any intimate relationship with him, only going to Him for what that can get, taking from His hand, never desiring to spend time with Him or building up a relationship with Him.

Think about your relationship with God. Do you have a relationship with Him or is He only used for your wants and needs?

Remember, regardless of your wants and needs, you stand before a throne of grace and you are to approach it just as you are.

Perhaps, some of you who know this centre I am writing about and have been going there for several years, but never thought of sending in a donation. Why not send in a donation for the refurbishment of the Africa prayer room?

The Seal of The Blood

The Old Testament believers had nothing to stand upon, but the promises of God.

They walked by faith, far more than the New Testament believers.

New Testament believers had the real deal. They had Christ’s death and resurrection to believe in.

If you believe in Jesus Christ today, you have much more than Old Testament Believers. You are in a privileged position. Christ’s blood is that pleasant reminder. God is faithful to do all He has promised.
