Obedience From the Heart

Obedience From the Heart

Christ came into this world as a servant of servants. He arrived with open ears and an obedient heart, willing to do what was required of Him.

The Levitical sacrifices and offerings were not the ultimate sacrifice (Leviticus 17:11), they had no power to take away sin, they were only types and shadows of something better… a better way that would come…

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire”. – Hebrews 10:5

Christ is the fulfilment of Prophecy, the promise keeper, keeping God’s covenant to all Generations. Just like Christ, God’s Law is now written in our hearts, giving us a better Covenant, a New and Living way.

The Servant of All…

He Served to Save Souls

The Greatest Man that ever lived on this earth is Jesus Christ, yet He humbled himself and became the servant of all.

In Mark 10:35-37, you can see that James and John had secular perspectives of God’s Kingdom. They viewed God’s Kingdom like the kingdoms of this world.

Many in God’s Kingdom want nothing to do with the Cross, they only want the Crown. “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).

Let us pray for humility when we think about Jesus. Christ gave His Life; making the ultimate sacrifice. He did it deliberately, He gave His life as a ransom for many. Let us pray for the oil of grace, to persevere and endure through this journey. Amen.

A Better Way…

A Better Covenant

In Christ, we have something far greater, better, than what the Old Covenant had to offer.

A Shadow

The Mosaic Law, given by God, to the children of Israel on Mount Sinai, was not enough to take away the guilt of sin. These sacrifices and offerings made under the Mosaical Law had to be continually offered, year after year, on behalf of the people. The Old Covenant served as a copy, just a shadow of what was to come…(Hebrews 8:5).

One Sacrifice Forever

Christ is that one, all-sufficient, sacrifice. Christ’s body is the ultimate living sacrifice, which does not need to be repeated year, after year. Christ is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and “not only for ours, but also for the sins of the whole world.”(1 John 2:2). Hallelujah

🏆 Rejoice in the overflow of…🏆

Rich Grace

An immeasurable price has been paid to set you free. Christ came to this earth, freely and willingly. He gave up His life, by the sacrifice of His death upon the cross, on behalf of many (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The ransom has been paid in full, freeing you from all forms of bondage. Christ has redeemed those who trust Him from the condition of sin. He has forgiven them, giving them everlasting joy, the comfort of salvation. The glorious riches of Heaven belong to God’s children.

It’s by God’s Grace you have been chosen. To the glory and honour of His grace (Ephesians 1:6), many have been saved. What a joy to share in the risen life of Christ. Rejoice in the overflow of God’s glorious, extravagant, superabundant abounding grace! Hallelujah!

The ransom paid

The ransom paid

The debt of the penalty of sin has been paid by Jesus Christ. Jeremiah prophesied about the sin of Israel, he said that God would save them and give them a completely clean slate, a new beginning (Jeremiah 50:20).

In Christ, we have a clean start and a new lease of life. The guilt of sin, which carries the penalty of death, has been passed on to Christ. The Son of God; Son of Man, made himself a penal substitute so that sinners will not carry the penalty of their sin. Once an enemy of God, with an evil mind and conscience, you are now reconciled to God. You are presented holy without blemish, blameless, through Christ presenting His body as that living sacrifice.

Yahweh is a God of justice, holiness and unchangeableness who has shown us His mercy by giving up His Son. Death and the grave has lost its power. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, triumphed and has given us the victory.

🔥The Ultimate Sacrifice🔥

Today, the 14th of February is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, fourty- six days before Easter. It is a day marked with repentance and fasting by some within the Body of Christ.

Ash Wednesday

The term Ash Wednesday comes from symbols within the Old Testament: Genesis 3:19 (Mortality) Job 42:6 (Repentance) Daniel 9:3-4, Esther 4:1, Jonah 3:5-6 (Fasting). The symbol of the cross, made from ashes (placed on the forehead, during this period) is a reminder of Genesis 3:19 “For you were made from dust,

and to dust you will return.”

The Ultimate Sacrifice

Psalm 40:8 points to One who would delightfully and willingly present His body as that one and all -sufficient sacrifice. Philippians 2:8 says, “And being found in the appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

This offering Jesus Christ made needs no repetition. We are sanctified through the offering of Christ’s body. It is the “ultimate sacrifice” enough for the atonement of our sins, making those who believe in Christ perfect to reign with Him in glory. Amen

⭐️SHINE: Be light to this world.

God’s Divine Plan

Many times Christians do not know what to do, while they wait on God. Delay in your sight, does not translate to delay in God’s sight. God has His perfect timing.

What are you to do while you wait for God’s plans to unfold?: You are to walk in the Light. Live a life that honours Christ.

While you wait for God’s divine plan to unfold you are to be all that Christ has called you to be: Light that shines ever brightly in darkness.

While you wait on God, be that Light that God has called you to be. God has your divine timetable placed firmly in His hand. May your pathway will become clearer and brighter as you wait patiently on God. Amen

The Friend of Sinners

MISSION TO SAVE SOULS

Christ is the Saviour of the Soul. He did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

The Pharisees were desperately in need of a Saviour. They were spiritually ill and blind, unable to see the condition of their souls. They laboured in vain with traditions and ceremonies which meant nothing before God. They justified themselves before God with these acts.

And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God (Luke 16:15).

Without Christ, our condition can be described as sick. We are all sinners in need of repentance. Christ is the righteousness the sinner needs. Christ is called the Great Physician, the Doctor of the soul. Christ calls sinners to repent and to have their sins washed away by Him alone, the Saviour of the Soul.

NO TURNING BACK!

Immovable Faith

Do you remember when you met your first love? Christ is described as your “first love” in Revelation 2:4. You spent time with him, you were delighted to be in His presence at all times, you had “immovable” Faith in Him. You were prepared to suffer the loss of so many things for His names sake.

Having had such a close relationship with your “first love,” will you now abandon Him at this stage in your Christian walk? What is it that will make you cower or run away in fear? Selah

Having come this far, it would be unwise for you to turn back Child of God. Christ has held your hand:You have been over the mountains, through the valleys, you’ve persevered through the heaviest storms…what could possibly make you retreat and turn away from Christ at this stage?

The Day of the Lord speedily approaches and we must be ready, expectant and alert. I encourage you this hour to be unshakable, steadfast and Immovable in your FAITH.

Run! Run!! Run! Persevere in Faith, don’t give up!

PERSEVERE UNTIL THE END

What the world judges as an affliction, you child of God, are to count as Joy (James 1:2). This is because while the worldly person looks with a veiled heart and mind, the Child of God sees clearly, with eyes of the Spirit.

Trials and afflictions are to produce patience, perseverance, endurance, character, and most of all hope in God’s promises (Romans 5:3,4). James 5:11 encourages Believers to look at Job. He went through the most horrendous trials and God made sure it was recorded for future generations to see. What happened to Job was no fairy tale, it was real!

One of the greatest testimonies of God’s “compassion” and “mercy” is seen in the life of Job. The greater the trial, the greater the testimony. In all the attacks and persecutions, Job’s FAITH remained intact. Worldly wealth can be replaced, health, honour and dignity can be restored, but a heart of unbelief is finished. If the enemy can shift your Faith in Christ, he’s got you…

Job was patient, he submitted to God in all his trials, you should also. Ask God to increase your Faith. God knows your frailties and weaknesses… He will never give you more than you can bear ( 1 Corinthians 10:13). There is enough grace at God’s throne to see you through that trial and situation (Heb. 4:16). God grace is sufficient for you and His strength is made perfect in your weakness ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) Amen. Encourage someone with this message today: Share it.
