Pardon for Sin – Romans 4:25

Pardon for Sin:
There are no alternatives to Christ. He cannot be replaced. Who can pardon or wash away Sin? By what means can any person do so? No human has such power. The Levitical Priests carried out yearly sacrifices on behalf of the Children of Israel, but this did not pardon their sin. These sacrifices were  temporary solutions, hence the never ending, yearly repetition.

Justification:
Who is a Just Man? Only Jesus Christ. All who believe in Him are justified through Him. These are people who trust, not in their own means of Salvation, but fully understand that  pardon for Sin, came through an acceptable sacrifice. Christ is spotless and sinless. No one compares to Him.

A Complete Work:
Christ was crucified. He gave himself up, freely and willingly, as a Living Sacrifice, “once and for all.” (Hebrews 10:10). It is a complete work.

There is no sacrifice that can replace or compete with the Sacrifice Christ has already made. The work of redemption is complete.

Remembrance and Celebration:
God has fulfilled His promise. The penalty for Sin, which no one else could pay, has been paid. Jesus rose from the dead, as He said He would. Each time believers gather to, “eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” (1 Cor. 11:23-26) Let the Redeemed ever rejoice in God’s mercy in giving us His presence. Let them ever shout for joy.
