The Living Water

Christ is the Well of Living Water which the thirsty drink from. The hungry, the weary come to Him and find grace and mercy.

I pray this month of September you will sing a new song. Hagar experienced the Lord’s compassionate hand at “the well of water.” She got into a tricky situation and cried out to the God who sees.

The Lord saw Hagar in her distress and came to her. The Lord shows mercy to whoever He desires ( Romans 9:8). Hagar is the first and only woman in the Bible to give God a name. She called Him, “The God who sees me” (El-Roi.)

The Lord did not ignore Hagar’s cry. He came to her and showed her mercy. The angel of the Lord refreshed Hagar by “the well of water,” and till this day, the well is called, “Beer-Lahai-Roi.”

Genesis 16:13-14

“She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen[c] the One who sees me.” 14 That is why the well was called Beer Lahai Roi[d]; it is still there, between Kadesh and Bered.”

Christ is “The Living Water.”  All who thirst and cry to Him are given Water so they do not thirst anymore. Christ is the “Bread of Life” to those who are hungry. All who eat this Bread will not be hungry anymore.

May God Bless you, refresh you and permanently quench the thirst within you.

If this post has blessed you, kindly share it and bless others.
