A burden for the oppressed and needy.

King Solomon’s mother fondly called him Lamuel, it was a name she affectionately called Him. He also called himself by that name as we see in the book of Proverbs. She gave Him good advice about life, including how to use his wealth judiciously.

Social Justice and Charity demands that we uphold the rights of the downtrodden, and speak up when we see injustice and abuse. As followers of Jesus Christ we are to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. We have a moral duty to do so.

Let us be tender hearted towards those in need. Let us not keep silent at injustice, but speak out and condemn it. More especially, let us remember the thirsty souls of the needy.
