David, the fearless shepherd, mighty warrior and powerful king, was afraid at some point in his life; this may come as a surprise to many. The fact is that he did experience fear. In 1 Samuel 21:12, (please read passage), he got into a tricky situation, and the Bible records Him as being afraid.
David did not discard his “Trust” in God. When he was afraid, he said,
“I put my trust in you” (Psalm 56:3b).
Faith and fear can operate at the same time, but fear will not have the upper hand when your trust is in God.
Conquering fear and doubt with faith.
Faith will pull you towards the light during your darkest hour. Faith holds on to God’s promises and will not allow doubt have its way. The grace of God, will hold you and bear you up, when the whole world seems to be crumbling around you. God’s Word is the solid unshakable ground upon which you will stand.
