Conquering Fear and Doubt

David, the fearless shepherd, mighty warrior and powerful king, was afraid at some point in his life; this may come as a surprise to many. The fact is that he did experience fear. In 1 Samuel 21:12, (please read passage), he got into a tricky situation, and the Bible records Him as being afraid.

David did not discard his “Trust” in God. When he was afraid, he said,

“I put my trust in you” (Psalm 56:3b).

Faith and fear can operate at the same time, but fear will not have the upper hand when your trust is in God.

Conquering fear and doubt with faith.

Faith will pull you towards the light during your darkest hour. Faith holds on to God’s promises and will not allow doubt have its way. The grace of God, will hold you and bear you up, when the whole world seems to be crumbling around you. God’s Word is the solid unshakable ground upon which you will stand.

Look to God…

There is danger, in putting your trust in fellow human beings like yourself. They have weaknesses, just like you, but this is very hard to see, when you depend on them.

The “Princes” and “Sons of Men” of this world are often occupied with the cares of this world, and have little understanding or time for spiritual matters. The decisions that impact the soul, have little or no meaning to them, because they are enveloped in the cares of this world.

As child of God, you are to be led by the Spirit of God in all you do. The Holy Spirit is a helper, and to be led by the Spirit of God is to be coveted. To be Spirit led is what every Believer should desperately desire.

Never be afraid to obey God, even if you do not physically have the means to do so. If you pray according to God’s will, that which you are praying for, will be surely accomplished (1John 5:14).

God’s Faithfulness

God is faithful in blessing His children.

There is nothing that God will withhold from those who faithfully obey Him.

When the children of Israel cried out to God, He redeemed them from the hands of the Egyptians. He removed them from the place of Slavery. God promised that He would fill their mouths, if they opened their mouths wide.

God is able bless you over and above your desires and expectations. It is of utmost importance to know God’s voice and to do His will in every area of your life. God answers prayers.

God has more than enough abundance in His treasury to meet you at your point of need. Yield your heart and mind to Him today. Reach out to God’s grace and mercy today.

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” Psalm 84:11

O….to see God’s Glory.

OPEN MY EYES LORD

The prayer of faith avails much. In the case of the blind men, they met head on with compassion when they called out to Jesus and said: “Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.”(Mathew 20:30).Their petition for mercy was granted by the one who was able to give it.

Multitudes followed Jesus for various reasons. When the blind men heard He was passing by, they didn’t ask Jesus for alms, but prayed that He would remove their blindness.

Today, many are spiritually blind, they have eyes, but cannot see. Having their hearts and minds veiled, they are blind to the beauty of the Lord. They see no value in seeing Christ in all His glory. The Lord’s wisdom, revelation and knowledge of Christ is absolutely valueless to them. Christ to them is only measured in monetary or commercial terms.

Christ is One who has compassion. He is merciful. Let us pray that the eyes of our minds be opened to Christ’s true beauty. Let us pray for hearts to worship Him for who He really is. When spiritual blindness meets with the Spirit of God, there is a spiritual awakening.

The spiritual welfare of God’s People.

The spiritual welfare of God’s People.

What deep pity and anguish the Lord had in His heart when He saw the spiritual condition of the crowds. Christ was filled with compassion for them, “They were like sheep without a Shepherd.”

Where were the Shepherds?

It begs the question: where were the Shepherds of the neglected souls Christ spoke about? The matter was so serious that it caused Christ to lament with such sorrow within His heart.

Does Christ still lament in Heaven when He sees the Shepherds, so intertwined with the world and other matters, that they have no concern for the spiritual condition of the souls their sheep (who Christ already concludes are lost sheep).

The Love of a Father

Christ clearly displays the love of the Father in His compassion for souls. God loved this world so much, that He sent His Son to save it (John 3:16). You see God’s loving heart in Christ’s sacrifice to save souls.

Deplorable, hopeless, harassed, scattered, lost, is the plight and status of the Peoples of this earth. Let us pray that God will raise up Shepherds with compassionate hearts for SOULS. The harvest is plenty, but the labourers are few (Matthew 9:37).

Where is the destination of the soul without Faith in Christ? Christ in us, is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

Immeasurable Love

Made from dust, but loved immeasurably:

The Lord has compassion, just like the natural compassion of a Father towards His children. Though they are made from dust, He looks at them with the eyes of His mercy.

God loves His children with loving tenderness, He never forsakes His covenant of mercy to those who fear Him. He has pity upon His children, from the weakest to the strongest.

There is no one to frail or to strong for the Lord to show compassion.

The value of SOULS

Christ is concerned with souls. He is moved with compassion towards lost people on this earth: These are lost souls, ignorant of their dire spiritual condition.

While Christ lived on earth, He did what He desired most. He saved souls. He concerned himself with the Salvation of souls. He made it His priority to lead people out of darkness. He healed the sick and fed souls; preaching and teaching them many things.

In this time of grace, every Believer in Christ should pray for a compassionate heart for souls.

REFUGE🔥SHEILD 🔥HOPE🔥

The Lord is a hiding place. He is a fortress, haven and sanctuary (Psalm 32:7). He provides a retreat, away, from the onslaught of the wicked one.

When the enemy pursues, Christ is that shield of protection. He is that security, strong-hold, the strong-tower that the righteous run into, and are saved (Proverbs 18:10).

Christ is the Hope of His People. He will never leave or forsake them (Psalm 37:25). His promises are not baseless, but based on the very Word of God.

All who put their hope and trust in Christ have an eternal promise: they shall never be put to shame. Amen.

I will give you rest

“I will give you Rest”

Weariness and tiredness, the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness, can be a major contributing factor to lack of prayer. Disappointment is one of the things that can hinder you from coming into God’s presence. Heavy weights can stand in the way of Bible Study. The burdens of this world, can be compared to a water hose pipe that is used to put out a raging fire. It seeks to put out the flame burning within.

The person who is continually connected with God will have their mind, body and soul is uplifted. Psalm 100:4 says, we should “enter His gates with thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise.”

Refuge for the weary

Today, the Lord is saying, “Come to me, and I will give you rest.” The “rest” the world offers is built on the works of our own hands. In fact,

it will require you parting with huge sums of money. It’s certainly not FREE.

The “rest” that Christ offers is completely free of charge, you can’t pay for it, it’s not based on merit. Christ has already picked up the bill and He urges you to come boldly, to receive it.

Christ is peace for your weary soul. He is that gift of eternal life, paid for in full, that you may have eternal rest for your soul.
