Rejoice and again I say, Rejoice.
If you are in union with Christ, you have every reason to rejoice. It is privilege to belong to a Royal Family, to be set apart for His glory and honour.
Rejoice in confident Hope
You can rejoice as part of God’s family because you have Hope. This Hope is not baseless, it is firmly based upon what God has declared in His word. This is your Faith, it is by Grace. The promises of God are unchangeable. Romans 5:2 says, “we boast in the the hope of the glory of God,”(Romans 5:4,5; 8:24,25; 15:4, 13). The Believer can rejoice even in the depth of affliction because of this future hope which is not variable. It is hope that endures stress, doubt and all forms of opposition. It is hope that protects the mind, body and soul. It is the Helmet, the Breast Plate of Righteousness, the Belt of Truth, the Shield of Faith, the Sword of the Spirit (Word of God) and Shoes to spread the Gospel of Peace. This Hope is the full Armour of God worn to protect them from the fiery darts of the enemy.
Be patient in Trouble
These are the last days and this world is a hostile environment. The Children of God will face opposition in a world going in the opposite direction. It is like swimming against the tide, running in the mist of a raging storm. But these are light afflictions, for those who have confident Hope. It is only for a moment, it works out for them a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Cor.4:17). The trail of your faith is much more precious than silver and gold, though it be tried by fire, may result in the praise, honour and glory of God (1Peter 1:7).
Keep on Praying
The Child of God is to “Pray without Ceasing” (1 Thess.5:17). Pray continually: this is the engine room of the Christian Life. Without prayer there will be no power. The wicked one is always on the prowl, looking for a gap in your Armour. Even when you are tired and prayed out.., just keep on moving forward. Keep Praying!!! The Believer prays to the One who does not sleep or slumber. This is a great privilege, knowing you belong to Christ, who constantly intercedes on your behalf (1John5:14, John 14:13, Matt.7:7).
The riches in Christ are inexhaustible.
