scripture007 The steadfastness of God’s love.

Romans 8:28 is like a pillow of comfort to rest our weary heads. God is certainly at work in every area in the lives of those, “who love God.” He is actively working ceaselessly, energetically and purposefully on their behalf. Our final salvation, is His ultimate aim, it is the expression of His goodness for the “good” of his people.

A brief summary of Romans 8:28
The summary of Romans 8:1-27 can be found in Romans 8:28. It prepares the ground that leads us to Romans 8:37-38, a conclusion that brings us great comfort.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1-8). The Holy Spirit dwells within them speaking life to the mortal body through the Spirit who dwells within (Romans 8: 9-11). They are assured they are God’s children, the Spirit of God bearing witness (Romans 8:14 – 16). Whatever suffering takes place in the life of the believer is nothing compared to the glory to come. One day they will share His glory, it will be so marvelous that every hardship and suffering will completely dissolve into oblivion (Romans 8:18). All creation groans and looks forward to a new dwelling place, a new heaven and earth (Romans 8: 19 -22). They themselves also groan as they eagerly await their adoption (Romans 8:23 – 25). In every weakness, the Holy Spirit is a helper, interceding in unity in God’s will, so that this intercession, accompanied by wordless groaning, will certainly be effective (Romans 8: 26 – 27).

To all who love God, all things work together for good.
