“It is better to begin in the flesh and end in the spirit, than to begin in the spirit and end in the flesh.” – Manton
When everything seems against you, nothing stops you from praying for godly wisdom. If God has given you godly wisdom in the past, why seek to change it? Why try to change from walking in the spirit to operating in the flesh?
Let him ask of God:
Asking God for Wisdom is a godly decision. It acknowledges Him as Father. It endorses Him in your mind and heart as one with superior wisdom, understanding and knowledge. James 1:3 is an earnest call to prayer “Let him ask.” The child of God should be confident about asking God for wisdom. Asking God is a divine antidote against moving in the flesh.
He gives generously:
He satisfies the desire of every living thing. If He satisfies the desires of the birds of the air and beasts of the field, what about human beings? What about His children who serve Him daily? You can go to God in prayer with hope, believing that He will impart godly wisdom. You just need to Ask. Seek Wisdom and you will find it. Knock on the door of wisdom and it will be opened to you. It is not complicated…
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matt 7:7
He is one that gives out liberally. He is not a tight fisted God. He is abundant and generous. He gives bountifully. He has open hands. He will not withhold knowledge, wisdom and understanding if you truly seek it.
He gives without reproach:
He will not castigate or chastise you. Sometimes you may feel the question is not worth asking. You may have asked the question time and time again. Psalm 62:11 says, “God spoke once, but I heard it twice.” Sometimes God will speak clearly but you may hear different things… Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” He will never reject the person asking or find him unworthy of the question being asked.
Today, I pray you will go boldly to the One who gives liberally. He is One who does not withhold or hide wisdom from those who seek it. He makes the crooked places straight. Seek godly wisdom today. Hope in God. Trust His Word and His decision.
